The Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Private Practice (IASLTPP) is a group of fully qualified speech and language therapists who provide private speech and language therapy services.
IASLTPP was set up to provide a forum for information sharing amongst speech and language therapists in private practice and to provide information to the public regarding private speech and language therapy. We are a special interest group (SIG) within our professional organisation, The Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.

As an association, we are keen that members of the public can access high quality speech and language therapy services in the private sector. For this reason, all of our members are required to have a minimum of two years post graduate experience and to be members of our professional body, The Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) who provide clear recommendations to their members regarding standards of practice.
Our organisation provides information and advice to members of the public on:
- Finding a speech and language therapist
- Checking the qualifications and experience of a speech and language therapist
- Tax that can be reclaimed on speech and language therapy services
- Speech and language therapy allowances from health insurance agencies
- Information on various communication and swallowing difficulties
- Links to relevant websites
You should consult our Frequently Asked Questions section for more information on the above areas. Click here for FAQs
The IASLTPP is not a statutory body.
